Troopzilla is a Chicago-based “deal-of-the-day” website in the tradition of Groupon or LivingSocial.
Troopzilla representatives negotiate discounts with local businesses and offer these discounts to the members of their website. Once a specified number of deals (or “Zillas”) are sold, the deal is “unlocked” and the business honors the discount. Thanks to site user loyalty, this system makes the deals safer for local businesses to get involved with while still reaching a market they might normally not reach.
There are plenty of other deal-of-the-day sites already established. TroopZilla needed to launch with a very thought-out and consistent brand to be competitive out of the gate.
